| Restructuring of traffic light implant in Carnate (MB) |

Under the request of the Council of Monza and Brianza, in the third week of September, it has been completely restructured, the traffic light along the SP177 highway, in the town of Carnate.
The traffic light in Crnate was known to local motorists, for longue queues that used to create along the road. The Concil had considered the idea of replacing it with a roundabout, but the different size of the streets and the presence of crossings, made this solution not so practical and easy, as well as not so cheap. Given the criticality of the intersection, the traffic light has been fitted with many duties to ensure better traffic management. Meanwhile, the controller is connected to our traffic management system TMACS, that allows to always choose the best program, based on measurements of the coils. Then, the side streets, have been fitted with coils of 30 meters of extension from the stop line, to save a few seconds during the cutting phase. On both directions of SP177 Highway, were also installed macroregulation couple of coils, which convert the Traffic light into a permanent measuring station, available to the Council. After a first initial fixed cycle, when the system has been implemented, it resulted in having the queue disappearing immediately, which used to form itself along the road (using the original time). Taking in account the importance of the intersection, the work has been carried out as quickly as possible. Turned off the morning of September the 29th , the implant was turned on again in the evenings, after replacing the traffic controller, cables and all the traffic lights. During the operation, were in fact replaced the old lamp traffic lights, with other LED ones, which provide better visibility and fuel efficiency by 80%. Considering the fuel savings, due to better traffic management, and that of electricity savings, due to the LED lanterns, we can say that the new Intersection in Carnate, is really environmental friendly! Finally, the traffic light has been equipped, with pedestrian push buttons and acoustic devices, according to the current law. The buttons are particularly important. Before the pedestrians, use to cross with the green also on the side streets, now, a better traffic management, has allowed time to assign a dedicated phase to those, which provides major security.
