General characteristics
In order to realize an efficient mesurement of traffic, for example for the evaluation of aucustic impact of a new road network, or for simply define how often it is necessary to foresse the maintenance of the road surface. It takes an important element in order to respect the law in force (particulary the law “Quadro 447 ed i relativi decreti attuativi e il DPR 142 del 30 Marzo 2004”)
La semaforica is pleased to show LS/TMS/SA: a traffic analyzer “all-in-one”, compact and easy to install on different areas, and also in different times: LS/TMS/SA can simply adapt to a pole for vertical signs present on a side of the road, or on the bent arm of an octagonal pole (without any interruption of traffic flow) and, for this reasons, almost “invisible”.
Thanks to the internal radar with Doppler effect and to the supply of a powerful battery (autonomy of about 500 h) TMS/SA device can collect data traffic up to 250.000 vehicular transits!
Traffic data can be downloaded through RS232 interface and processed with a software included in the device. Possible statistics are the following:
- Number of vehicles for each day, classified by their weight (buses and trucks)
- Average speed of transits for each day and class
- Percentage of vehicle exceeding speed limits
- Parameter v85
- Classification of transits on 9 different classes of speed, defined by end user
These data processes allow exact measurements of traffic and offer an effective system for the correct evaluation of a road network.
Furthermore, data collected and processed can have an influence on the intervention on the road: maintenance programming, planned road diversion for specific events, …
