General characteristics
RS polycarbonate repeater Traffic Lights offers the following advantages:

Material
Polycarbonate with high mechanical resistance, originally pulp-coloured, UV stabilized, self-extinguishing. Available with green or black colour. On demand, other colours like yellow.
Lamp optical group
- Ceramic lamp holder according EN directives with E27 connection.
- Lamp bulb with drop shape, maximum power 40 W
- Power supply 230 Vac ± 15%. With cyclic functioning at interval not exceeding 24 hours, 12/24 Vcc ±15%.
- Electrical connections complete with wire terminals, made with unipolar cables in silicone rubber, section 1,5 mmq.
One for each lamp holder and one for the neutral connection.
- Reflector fixed by insertion on the lamp holder, moulded in refracting polycarbonate; heat resistant.
Led optical group
- Double Fresnel lens for Led module different from lamp one, moulded to the front door.
- Standard power supply 230 Vac ± 15% (on demand 12 Vcc ± 10%)
- Power consumption for each aspect red, amber or green: 3W
- Electrical connections complete with wire terminals, made with unipolar cables in silicone rubber, section 1,5 mmq.
One for each lamp holder and one for the neutral connection (available, connectors for 12 Vcc power, are to cable, instead of 230 Vac, standard cable).
- Chromatic coordinates red (625 +/- 5 nm), amber (592 +/- 3 nm), green (505 +/- 5 nm).

The new traffic lights in polycarbonate for the traffic series CVE present the following benefits:

Protection degree
IP 55 - IEC 529 TEST REPORT CESI 6R-96/039567 Made with a gasket in neoprene with closed cells, it is inserted between the case and the front door of the aspect, lodged in a special seat on the front door. The lens is moulded inside the front door. For aspects diameter 210 mm the gasket used has a diameter of 10 mm with a development of 710 mm, while for aspects diameter 300 mm it has a diameter of 12 mm with a development of 1020 mm.
The two closing rotating points of the front door are provided with two counteracting springs in stainless steel AISI 302 (diameter 1,3 mm; spring 13x7; length 34 mm). The pressure exerted by the two springs keeps a uniform compression of the gaskets inserted, equal to the 20% of their thickness.

Bracket for poles d. 60 mm in polycarbonate, complete with fixing system for traffic lights with screws and bolts. Central hole for passing the elettric cable. INOX steel screws to link the closing plug (TPS model) for the upper entrance of the beacons.

Led modules
Led module with 3/4 LED high intensity IP65 made by electronic power supply driver (12Vdc ÷ 24Vdc or 230Vac to be specified) and diffusion system with double lens: main Fresnel lens to widen luminous beam and coloured external lens to stabilize the optics. The external lens of the Led module is moulded together with the front door and the module screws in the front door for a rapid clutch, making easy any operation of maintenance or addition of directional masks. Front masks with all symbols are available, plastic material with fastening system to avoid rotation between the two lenses.

Construction features

- if there is an open circuit in one ore more of the LEDs, the driver will detect this scenario and the unit will turn off. If a short circuit occurs in one or more LEDs and the light intensity drops below 25% of the nominal light output, the driver will detect this scenario and the unit will turn off. The power consumption is reduced with the current through each LED being close to 0mA.
