TrafiCam C-Walk is a detector integrated camera and pedestrian presence detection at signalized intersection and mid-block crossings.

TrafiCam C-Walk is a cost-effective and reliable solution that combines the benefits of video detection with state-of-the-art CMOS sensor technology.

The main goal of TrafiCam C-Walk is to improve pedestrian protection as the pedestrian crosses the street (e.g. at zebra crossing near schools). By detecting crossing pedestrians and, at the same time, by managing and controlling traffic lights more dynamically, this intelligent sensor also reduces unnecessary delays to motorists.

This above-ground sensor avoids expensive installation and maintenance costs. Via a userfriendly configuration tool, setup can be done quickly. No specialist knowledge is required.

Pedestrian crossing street

TrafiCam C-Walk detects pedestrians who are crossing the street. As soon as a pedestrian enters a predefined detection zone (“virtual loop”) to a predefined direction, a detection output is provided to the traffic light controller, enabling the software to lengthen the green time for the pedestrian or delay the green time for vehicles.

Fast and easy system setup

TrafiCam C-Walk is easy to install. It can simply be mounted on existing infrastructure.
Also, a flexible bracket allows horizontal and vertical mounting.

Configuration of the sensor is done via portable PC with pre-installed user-friendly software.
Using camera images (JPEG snapshot), virtual pedestrian detection zones can be positioned accurately. Verification and viewing of the detection is possible via MPEG-4 streaming video.
